Casey & Josh - The Harbor Lights Cruise, Rockwall, TX
Casey and Josh pledged their lives to one another in the middle of Lake Ray Hubbard on board the Harbor Lights Cruise in Rockwall, TX. The day was sunny and warm and perfect for a sail around the lake...and a wedding!
Casey and Josh are just the coolest people. They’re down to earth, warm, friendly, and adventerous. So when they asked me to shoot their wedding...on a moving boat...on the lake...at sunset...I was a little excited! And it turned out to be an unforgettable experience.
I have to say I was a little nervous at first when asked to shoot a wedding on a moving venue. The last time I was on a boat was a cruise through Pearl Harbor and I ended up getting seasick. Not fun! And even though the lake was a little rougher than I expected, I had a blast shooting this wedding and didn't feel at all queasy. I think it was more of a challenge for the Bridal party and officiant to maintain their stance during the ceremony, but they were all smiles as the boat rocked back and forth.
